BACONTON, Ga. – A tornado brought 95 mile-per-hour winds to Mitchell County on Monday night, causing damage to dozens of homes.

Emergency Management Officials have confirmed that an EF-1 tornado swept through the county, damaging at least 47 homes in the Baconton area.
