ATLANTA — The fallout from the Ashley Madison leak has begun to hit home in Georgia.
After several state email addresses were discovered on a released list of 15,000 government-linked accounts on the adultery website, the GBI has now revealed that they’re looking into one of their own.
An unnamed agent’s email address was discovered to be on the infamous list, and while the GBI’s spokesman expressed reservations about the authenticity of the account, he confirmed that the department is looking into whether or not the employee in question used his government email to create an account. According to the original report in the AJC, results of the investigation could be made known next week.
