UNION CITY — An argument between two old friends led to a tragic ending Sunday in Union City.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting Benjamin Netherland, 43, was shot multiple times at his home on Raymond Terrace in Union City.
The shooter was identified as Michael Shane Black, 38, and the motive appears to be an ongoing dispute between Black and Netherland.
Black was arrested, according to reports, a short time after the incident occurred at his grandmother’s home in Fairburn. He was charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
According the witnesses quoted in the reports, Black pulled up to Netherland’s house, called him to come outside, then, in front of Netherland’s mother, shot him multiple times.
