FERNANDINA BEACH — A Federal Judge has sentenced a Fernandina Beach man to 19 years and 7 months in federal prison for his guilty plea to child pornography charges.

John Dewey Todd, 61, plead guilty to producing and receiving child pornography over the Internet.  Authorities found at least 12,000 files of child pornography in his home after a November search.

The search netted 51 computer disks found hidden in his attic.  The disks contained 550 videos and 11,500 still images of child pornography.  Further, another 4,000 files of material was found on other media belonging to Todd.

The graphic videos contained instances of children engaged in sexual activity.  Police also found video recordings of prepubescent girls using Todd’s bathroom, stored on a thumb drive in a jacket in his closet.  Some of the video showed Todd adjusting the camera himself.
