LOWNDES CO. — The Lowndes Vikings will open the 2026 football season Friday with a preseason home game against Veterans High School.

Viking Football Summer workouts continue this week and will conclude on Tuesday as our team prepares for the start of the school year on Wednesday.

On Friday night, August 7, the Vikings will kick off the season with a preseason matchup against Veterans High School of Warner Robins, a Region 2-6A opponent. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Joe Wilson Field at Martin Stadium, with stadium gates opening at 6:30 p.m.

Season Tickets
Reserved season ticket packages are still available for $90. Each package includes reserved seating for all nine (9) home games, including Friday night’s preseason contest against Veterans. Reserved seats are available on both sides of the stadium.

Single-Game Tickets
Reserved seat tickets for the Veterans game are $10 each. In accordance with GHSA policy, all fans, including children (except babies in arms), must have a ticket for entry.

Stadium Policies

Please remember the following:

Students in grades K-8 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to enter the stadium.
Loitering in open areas of the stadium is not permitted.
Students in grades K-12 are expected to remain with their parent(s) or guardian(s) in their seating area throughout the game.

Clear Bag Policy
Martin Stadium enforces a clear bag policy. Only clear bags are permitted inside the stadium. Viking logo clear bags are available for purchase at the ticket office for $10 each. Viking shirts, both short- and long-sleeve, are also available for purchase.

Athletic Ticket Office
The athletic ticket office is located in the Board of Education building on Norman Drive, with the entrance on the east end of the building across from Goo Goo Car Wash.

Ticket Office Hours

Monday–Thursday: 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
