Thomasville, GA – Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is pleased to announce the renewal and expansion of its 2+2 articulation agreements with Thomas University, providing students with clear and accessible pathways to continue their education beyond an associate degree and pursue bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
The renewed and expanded agreements allow Wiregrass students to complete an associate degree and seamlessly transfer to Thomas University to continue their academic journey. These partnerships reflect both institutions’ shared commitment to student success, educational attainment, and workforce development throughout South Georgia.
Through this agreement, students who complete an associate degree at Wiregrass will be able to transfer their college-level, degree-applicable credits to Thomas University, provided minimum grade requirements are met. General education and elective courses will transfer with a grade of C- or higher, while courses within a required program of study typically require a grade of C or higher.
“This agreement creates valuable opportunities for our students to achieve their educational and career goals without having to leave the region,” said Dr. Jammie Wilbanks, Associate Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness. “We are committed to ensuring that our students not only start strong at Wiregrass but also have the options to continue their education while meeting the workforce needs of our region.”
The agreements support the development of highly skilled professionals in critical workforce sectors including business, healthcare, education, and public service. By expanding access to advanced degrees, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College and Thomas University are helping strengthen the educational and workforce pipeline that serves local communities and employers across South Georgia.
