VALDOSTA – The VPD is asking for the publics assistance in locating two Valdosta men wanted in connection to a house party shooting.
Release:
WANTED: Richard Faulk, African American male, 27 years of age.
WANTED: Clavon Jones, African American male, 18 years of age
ARRESTED: Erica Breedlove, African American female, 47 years of age
On August 18, 2024, at approximately 4:00 am., several citizens called E911 to report that they heard gunshots at a residence in the 1300 block of Willow Way. Valdosta Police Officers arrived at the residence and found two subjects, a 15-year-old and a 43-year-old, who had been shot. Officers immediately attempted to render aid to the victims until Emergency Medical Services from South Georgia Medical Center and firefighters with the Valdosta Police Department arrived.
Detectives have been continuing to follow up with this investigation, resulting in the identification of two individuals who were involved in the shooting. Detectives have identified Richard Faulk, 27 years of age, along with Clavon Jones, 18 years of age, for aggravated assault (felony), and arrest warrants have been obtained for both. Detectives have not been able to locate Faulk or Jones.
As detectives were investigating the shooting incident, they discovered that the homeowner, Erica Breedlove, 47 years of age, who is the mother of the 15-year-old victim, was using her residence as a party venue despite it being in a residential area.
Detectives located evidence that Breedlove was selling alcohol and food, along with publicizing that her house could be rented to host parties.
On August 18, at approximately 4:00 am., when the shooting occurred, detectives determined that Breedlove was hosting a party where food and alcohol were being sold while juveniles were present. A physical altercation ensued when subjects wanted to enter the party without making a “donation” at the door for entry. The altercation escalated to guns being produced and fired.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Breedlove for maintaining a disorderly house (misdemeanor). Breedlove was arrested on August 27, 2024, and transported to Lowndes County Jail. Marshals with the City of Valdosta also issued Breedlove a citation for operating a business without a license.
Both victims have been released from the hospital.
Currently, detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Faulk and Jones. Their whereabouts are unknown, and they should be considered armed and dangerous.
“This shooting should have never occurred. If the homeowner would not have been hosting this illegal event, the fight would not have occurred. I am proud of the work by our detectives identifying the people involved, without the cooperation of the victims’ family.” Said Leslie Manahan.
