VALDOSTA – Employees at a Valdosta restaurant are raising money to support the family of one of their own, Joey Delk, who unexpectedly died this week.

Employees at the Red Lobster on North St. Augustine Road will host a car wash on Thursday.

“Whatever we raise, Red Lobster will match the money up to $500,” said Londyn Robinson, one of the event’s organizers. “We hope to exceed the $500… Joey had many friends in Valdosta, and we would love to reach all of them so that they can send their support.”

The event begins at 1 p.m. at Red Lobster.

“We go as long as we have cars to wash,” Robinson said.
