VALDOSTA – Kentucky native & “Rose Colored Glasses” platinum-selling country music hit-maker John Conlee will be performing at the Rainwater Conference Center on July 30.

Grand Ole Opry member since 1981, John Conlee, has one of country music’s most recognizable voices. The first song John ever performed that was committed to memory was “Love Me Tender” which he did for a school assembly when he was in the 4th grade.

Self-penned and signature hit “Rose Colored Glasses” was the first of his many hits. Conlee went on to release 29 single releases throughout the years with 26 of them charting in the Top 10 or better.

Some of the songs from the John Conlee hit list include “Back Side of Thirty, “Lady Lay Down,” “Friday Night Blues,” “Common Man,” “I’m Only In It For The Love,” “Domestic Life,” “Got My Heart Set On You” and “In My Eyes.” All of Conlee’s hits have that unmistakable common thread – that unique voice.

Conlee hasn’t slowed down and continues to cut songs with substance with the release of Classics 2 that includes a tribute to law enforcement titled “Walkin’ Behind the Star.”
