VALDOSTA, Ga. – On February 6, 2020, at approximately 10:56 a.m., a patrol officer with Valdosta Police Department responded to the 500 block Gil Harbin Industrial Blvd, in reference to an unknown subject entering a vehicle and taking a cellular telephone that did not belong to him.
Upon arrival, the victim advised a subject, later identified as Jerome Watson, 55 of Valdosta, was seen in his vehicle. The victim reported to the officer that his cellphone was missing from the vehicle. The incident was captured on video surveillance. The officer developed leads and was able to locate Watson at his home. The victim’s cellphone was recovered, and Watson was transported to Lowndes County Jail on the charge of theft by entering an auto (felony).
