VALDOSTA, Ga. – On January 25, 2020, at approximately 4:46 a.m., a patrol officer with the Valdosta Police Department made a traffic stop in the 700 block Vallotton Drive.
Upon speaking with the driver, Henry Lamb, the officer observed a straw with white powder on it in plain view in the passenger’s compartment of the vehicle. As officers had Lamb step out of the vehicle, they found a bag of cocaine in his hand.
Further investigation discovered Lamb had another baggie of cocaine and another straw with white powder in his possession. A passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Candice Davis, fled the vehicle but was apprehended after a short foot chase.
Davis was also found to have cocaine on her person.
A search of the vehicle recovered more baggies of cocaine.
Lamb was transported to Lowndes County Jail on the following charges:
– Felony possession of cocaine;
– Possession Of Drug Related Objects (Misdemeanor).
Candice Davis was transported to Lowndes County Jail on the following charges:
– Felony possession of cocaine;
– Misdemeanor possession drug related objects; and
– Misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement
“This officer being observant led to these drugs and offenders being removed from the streets,” VPD Lt. Scottie Johns said. “We are very proud of the work he did.”
