GREENSBORO, N.C. — A North Carolina Mother makes national headlines as she is charged with three counts of murder. 28-year-old Brittany McKinney could possibly face the death penalty for the multiple killings, according to WALB. 

McKinney allegedly took the life of her daughter, 10-tear-old Mkenzie McKinney, her niece, 2-year-old Serenity Rose, and the families’ housemates, 61-year-old Jerry Griffin. McKinney then called her sister, Delilah Merritt, admitting to the heartbreaking act says WALB. 

The cause for the murders are currently unknown, however, Merritt believes that her sister was overwhelmed with life and it all became too much. 

McKinney is expected to appear in city on February 11.
