BALTIMORE, Md. — Just after 6 p.m., Baltimore police responded to Madam D Beauty Bar, a local beauty salon in Southeast Baltimore, where they found 21-year-old Destiny Harrison suffering from a gunshot wound, according to WMAR.

Harrison was taken to the hospital where she later died.

Court documents revealed that Harrison filed charges against two individuals who were caught stealing merchandise from her business less than two weeks before her death.

On December 10, she testified that she was physically assaulted after she demanded her property back. Harrison also told the court commissioner that she was aware of one of the suspect’s violent history and feared for the safety of herself and her salon, says WMAR.

The family and police are asking for the people that were inside the salon or anyone with information to come forward.

Destiny’s mother writes, “We lost a angel due to tragedy that broke hearts all over Baltimore . We are asking that if anyone have any monetary donations we would greatly appreciate the help to lay my beautiful daughter in peace.”

A GoFundMe page has been setup to help the family in their time of need.
