VALDOSTA, Ga. – If you’ve been sky-gazing lately you might have noticed an unusually bright star shining in the southwest.

This is Venus, also known as the “Evening Star” and it has only recently been visible after spending much of 2019 as a pre-sunrise star.

Venus is always a scene-stealer but the real buzz is about Jupiter’s appearance when Venus will appear to pass across it in a moonless sky.
