VALDOSTA, Ga. – On Wednesday, September 18, the Valdosta Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 703 Monroe St. The call came in at 5:47 a.m. The first units arrived on scene within minutes to find heavy smoke and flames coming from a single family structure.
All occupants evacuated prior to fire department arrival. No injuries were reported. There were a total of 17 Valdosta Firefighters on the scene.
The cause is still under investigation. The American Red Cross was contacted to offer assistance to the occupants.
