LOWNDES – Regarding rumors that there was a shooting today at Lowndes High School, Lowndes County Sheriff Ashley Paulk has confirmed, at 6:25 p.m., Monday, November 5, that these fears were unfounded.

“There’s a gun range near and shots were heard but it had nothing to do with Lowndes High,” Sheriff Paulk confirmed.
