VALDOSTA – The crime rate in Valdosta decreased from 2015 to 2016, but homicides are up, according to the Valdosta Police Department.

Valdosta experienced four more homicides in 2016 than in 2015, but overall rates for robbery, rape, aggravated assaults and more is down. Burglaries, however, are up.
