LOWNDES Co. – On Thursday morning, Samaryon Attwell, 34, of Tampa, Fla. approached a deputy in the parking lot of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and relayed that he had been shot.
Attwell had injuries to both arms as a result of gun fire. Attwell was rendered aid by the deputy and taken to South Georgia Medical Center for further treatment of his injuries. He was released from the hospital Thursday afternoon.
During an investigation, detectives learned Attwell rode to Valdosta with an associate, Moses Mills, 34, of Tampa, who had a court appearance for an unrelated arrest. After contacting detectives with the Tampa Police Department, the vehicle driven by the pair was located inside the guard line of the Lowndes County Jail.
A search warrant was obtained for the collection of forensic evidence, and during this search detectives located a small quantity of marijuana, a plastic bag with a quantity of Crack Cocaine and evidence related to the shooting.
Samaryon Attwell and Moses Mills were arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail. Attwell and Mills have both been charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.
