VALDOSTA – The Valdosta City Council passed a vote of no confidence Thursday night, voting in favor of a request for the resignations of the city’s appointed members of the Hospital Authority of Valdosta and Lowndes County, which governs South Georgia Medical Center.

Councilman Robert Yost called for the vote, pointing to issues of transparency, complaints from patients and staff and an ongoing investigation of the hospital from an unnamed agency.
