VALDOSTA – A Valdosta High School senior will be graduating in style this year after winning a brand new car during the school’s Keys to the Future event on Friday.
The Keys to the Future program aims to encourage attendance and good behavior by entering students in drawings for prizes, including laptops, scholarships and a new car. Students are entered into the drawing and increase their chances of winning each nine weeks for passing all their classes with not tardies, absences or discipline referrals.
On Friday, 15 students were chosen. Students won laptops and scholarships to Wiregrass Technical College, among other prizes.
The grand price went to Kelsey Grant. Grant won 2016 Scion valued at over $17,000 from Valdosta Toyota Scion.
For the past five years, Valdosta Toyota Scion has donated over $160,000 in cars and electronics to deserving seniors at Valdosta High School.
