VALDOSTA – A Valdosta man has been indicted for vehicular homicide and driving under the influence for a 2015 crash that killed two in Lowndes County.
Jeremy Mack Carter, 35, was indicted by a Superior Court of Lowndes County grand jury on Friday. Carter is charged with homicide by vehicle in the first degree, driving under the influence (per se), driving under the influence (less safe) (alcohol), reckless driving, open container and driving with a suspended license, according to court documents.
Carter was driving a Ford F-150 on Feb. 25, 2015 on Old Clyatville Road when he attempted to pass a school bus and slammed head-on into a Ford Mustang, according to Georgia State Patrol reports.
Logan Paige Shelley, 22, and Kyle Naville, 23, were in the Mustang and were killed in the wreck.
Carter was injured and taken to South Georgia Medical Center.
A court date has not yet been determined.
