VALDOSTA – Valdosta State University is planning a concert at Bazemore-Hyde Stadium on April 15, but the school has not said who is playing the show.
The Valdosta Board of Education is considering VSU’s request to use Bazemore-Hyder Stadium for the event, but an agreement for VSU to pay $7,000 to rent the facility between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. has not been finalized. Board members expressed concerns about vehicles damaging the grass on Cleveland Field, reports the Valdosta Daily Times.
Board members are expected to vote on whether to approve the contact on March 22.
In the meantime, students and curious community members are left to wonder who might be coming to town.
VSU released the following statement concerning the event:
“Valdosta State University is finalizing the details of this concert event and hope to be able to release more information very soon.”
