HAHIRA – The Hahira City Council discussed the possibility of allowing the sale of beer and wine downtown during a work session Monday.

To allow the sales, the council would have to change an existing ordinance that restricts sales within 300 feet of a church building or withing 600 feet of a school.

Officials said changing the ordinance could facilitate growth. The issue was tabled until its April meeting.
