VALDOSTA – Several agencies in Lowndes County came together Saturday to perform safety inspections on child car seats.

Safe Kids Lowndes County conducted a child safety seat inspections at the Wal-Mart on Norman Drive.

The group consists of representatives of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, Valdosta Police Department, Valdosta Fire Department and the South Health District.

They inspected several vehicles and found three car seats that had been recalled by the manufacture. Those seats were replaced free of charge with new seats.
