HAHIRA – Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man Saturday evening and seized $900 worth of methamphetamine after responding to information received by county residents.

At approximately 6 p.m., the LCSO Special Operations Division served a search warrant at 6116 Hambrick Rd. in Hahira, said LCSO Capt. Stryde Jones.

“While searching the home, investigators located a quantity of methamphetamine, valued at approximately $900, the items used to package the narcotic for distribution and a sawed off shotgun,” Jones said.

Patrick Kimbrell, 29, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and possession of a sawed-off shotgun, reports stated. Kimbrell was taken to the Lowndes County Jail.

“This investigation is very much on-going, and we anticipate additional charges and the arrest of other persons in connection with this case,” said LCSO Sheriff Chris Prine. “We are thankful for the help of the citizens that led us to this operation.”
