LAKE PARK – The City of Lake Park welcomed two new council members Tuesday night who immediately working on several issues, including reconciling 2015 budget shortfalls and a proposed golf cart ordinance.
Debbie Sauls and Jena Sandlin were sworn in as members of the Lake Park City Council Tuesday night. They were joined by re-elected members Ronald Carter and Bert Rutland and Lake Park Mayor Eric Schindler.
The council began working on several items: electing Sauls as mayor pro tem, allocating unused 2015 funds to cover public works and administration shortfalls, holding a public hearing on an amendment that would change how public notices are given for alcohol licenses and scheduling work session for a golf cart amendment, reports The Valdosta Daily Times.
