MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office is in search of two suspects they say are involved in at least 6 cases of identity theft.
A report from WCTV cites Colquitt County law enforcement as reporting at least 6 people claiming identity theft. They believe they have identified two suspects who are working together and were able to obtain personal information. How they were able to do this still has authorities puzzled.
The report stated the suspects have committed or attempted to commit illegal transactions in Thomasville and Tallahassee last Monday (December 14th). The incidents were reported to have occurred at CVS, Belk, JC Penney, Winn Dixie, and Ross stores.
Deputies ask anyone with information to contact the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office at (229) 616-7430 or (229) 616-7460.
