VALDOSTA — The Valdosta Police Department has announced a new neighborhood watch program for a Valdosta neighborhood.  The Cumberland Plantation Neighborhood Watch Program has been established by residents to help keep their neighborhood safe.

“When neighbors come together to prevent or reduce crime in their neighborhoods, criminals take notice. Neighborhood watch programs can lead to the reduction of crime and lead to communities being and feeling safer. The Valdosta Police Department is asking more citizens to contact us to establish more groups”, stated Lieutenant Kari Williams.

Cumberland Plantation is located off of Northside Drive.  If anyone is interested in forming a Neighborhood Watch in their area, contact Officer Vernotis Williams as 229-242-2606.
