THOMASVILLE — Authorities are searching for two inmates who escaped midday from a work detail Tuesday in Thomas County.
According to a WCTV report, officials with the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office say the men walked away from a Georgia Department of Corrections detail along Boatramp Road outside of Thomasville.

The escapees are Joshua Fountain, 28, and James Waldron, 37, both incarcerated at Thomas County Prison.
Fountain is described as a white male, 5’5″ and 140 lbs. with blue eyes.
Waldron is also described as a white male, 5’10” and 170 lbs with hazel eyes.
Georgia Department of Corrections online records indicate Fountain was serving 10 years in prison for robbery by force, according to WCTV.
Waldron was in prison on a four year sentence for burglary.
