VALDOSTA — You can’t throw beer bottles at cyclists.

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Sunday afternoon a group of bicyclist were traveling on Old State Road in eastern Lowndes County.  An unknown person driving a pickup truck threw a glass beer bottle at the group as he passed by.

Fortunately, the bottle missed the cyclist directly, but shattered when it hit the asphalt showering the cyclist with glass.

The incident was captured on video by a camera mounted on one of the bicycles.

Sheriff’s Office investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of this vehicle.
