THOMASVILLE –  A nightmare became reality as a Thomasville woman awoke to find a burglar in her bedroom.

The incident occurred early Sunday morning before dawn.

Shadavia Hansell to discover a burglar, Lavernal Lorenzo Lamons, 23, had entered her bedroom through a window.

According to reports from the Thomasville Police Department, Hansell recognized the suspect, Lamons, from the apartment complex where she lives.  A second person was also asleep in the apartment in Hansell’s living room

The suspect left the apartment without taking anything, according to the report and there were no injuries.

Lamons was later captured by Thomasville Police and will be charged with one count of burglary.
