ALBANY — A Marine Corps Colonel has been charged with 25 counts of child pornography.
WALB is reporting that Kile Nickel, who is stationed at the Albany Marine Corps Logistics Base, has arrest warrants for him issued by the Dougherty County Police.
Suspicions arose for investigators when suspect pictures appeared on Twitter, who notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Investigators there then alerted the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and local police. From there, local authorities took charge of the case and arrest warrants were issued.
Investigators raided Nickel’s home in July, taking electronic devices which were then searched by investigators at the GBI crime lab.
