VALDOSTA — The Valdosta Board of Education met in official session on Friday and announced that Dr. William “Todd” Cason has been named the sole finalist for the position of superintendent for Valdosta City Schools.

“Dr. Cason distinguishes himself above all other candidates and is clearly the best qualified and suited for the position,” said the members of the Valdosta Board of Education.

The candidate’s application can be seen at the Valdosta Board of Education office located at 1204 Williams Street in Valdosta. The superintendent’s position will be officially voted on at a called meeting scheduled for Monday, August 3, 2015 at 12:00 pm in the board room of the Valdosta Board of Education.
