MOULTRIE — An inmate serving in a Colquitt County Prison work detail Friday has been captured in Atlanta.
According to a report from WALB, state fugitive squad agents took Kenneth Martin Anderson into custody in Atlanta. Authorities state he was captured about 9 Tuesday night.
Anderson had been on the run since Friday, when officials reported he had escaped from a work detail at the West View Cemetery in Moultrie.
Colquitt County Prison Warden Billy Howell said in the report that Anderson, who was originally from Walker County, escaped during a lunch break for the inmates.
Officials said Anderson is expected to be brought back to the Colquitt County Jail for an arraignment on new charges.
