VALDOSTA — Another residential shooting in Valdosta, this time on Wilmington Court.

Tuesday night a resident of a Wilmington Court home reported to Valdosta Police that someone fired a gun in the direction of her home.

The resident reported hearing multiple gunshots and police report what appeared to be two to three impacts on the exterior of the residence. Several persons inside the residence at the time the gunshots though there were no reports of injuries.

Witnesses cooperated with police which lead them to learn the person firing the weapon may have been on foot and not inside a vehicle.

The case has been assigned to detectives and evidence collected at the scene has been turned over to the Valdosta Lowndes Regional Crime Laboratory.

Valdosta Police Detectives believe that this is not a random act and that the offender knows one or more of the victims that reside in the house. Detectives have a person of interest already.
