DOUGLAS — Coffee County Sheriff Doyle Wooten is asking for assistance from the public related to the death of an unnamed 13-year old female.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday afternoon deputies were dispatched in reference to a possible death of a 13-year old female. Investigators were called to the scene and later requested assistance from the GBI’s Crime Scene Agent to assist in process the scene.
An autopsy was held Monday and Investigators are awaiting a preliminary report from the Medical Examiner.

This is an ongoing case and these Investigators would like to talk to friends, teachers and acquaintances to try to determine why this tragedy occurred and hopefully prevent it from occurring again.
