Valdosta City Schools Hosts One-Stop K-12 Registration Event July 15
VALDOSTA, GA – Valdosta City Schools is making enrollment easier than ever for families preparing for the 2026-2027 school year.
The district will host a K-12 Registration Event on Wednesday, July 15, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Lowndes County Health Department, 206 South Patterson Street, providing families with an opportunity to complete the enrollment process and obtain required enrollment services in one convenient location.
Unlike traditional registration opportunities, this event brings together school personnel and community services to help families complete enrollment requirements before Open House and the first day of school.
Representatives from Valdosta City Schools will be on-site to register students for the upcoming school year while Health Department staff provide services often required for enrollment.
Available services include:
- Student Registration
- Immunizations
- Eye, Ear, Dental and Nutrition (EEDN) Screenings
- Birth Certificate Services
- Free Document Copying
Families should bring the following items if available:
- Certified/Official Birth Certificate
- Child’s Social Security Card or Signed Waiver
- Georgia Certificate of Immunization (Form 3231)
- Georgia Eye, Ear, Dental and Nutrition Examination Form (Form 3300)
- Parent/Guardian Photo ID
- Proof of Residency within the school district
“We know that gathering enrollment documents and required health records can sometimes require multiple trips and create challenges for families,” said Jennifer Steedley, Director of Public Relations for Valdosta City Schools. “By partnering with the Lowndes County Health Department, we’re bringing these services together in one location so families can complete the enrollment process as efficiently as possible.”
The district is especially encouraging families of rising kindergarten students and students who are new to Valdosta City Schools to attend.
Valdosta City Schools officials hope the event will help families avoid last-minute enrollment issues and ensure students are ready to begin learning on the first day of school.
