VALDOSTA – Valdosta City Schools announces the closures of schools and all after-school activities due to the impending storm.

Release:

Valdosta City Schools will be closed on Thursday, September 26, and Friday, September 27, 2024, due to Tropical Storm/Hurricane Helene. All after-school activities are canceled. A decision about Friday’s game against Camden County will be announced on Friday.

The VCS School Nutrition Program is preparing bagged meals for students to take home. After the storm, VCS personnel will assess facilities for any damage and provide updates on the return to school.
