VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Police Department has arrested two men from Pennsylvania wanted for Parole Violations on violent offenses.

Arrested 1. Justin Torres, Caucasian male, 37 years of age, Pennsylvania resident
Arrested 2. Frederick Swackhammer, Caucasian male 41 years of age, Pennsylvania resident
On September 18, 2024, at approximately 8:30 am., Valdosta Police Officers responded to a parking lot in the 2600 block of Bemiss Road, after a citizen called E911 to report that the occupants of the vehicle were acting suspiciously. After receiving a detailed description of the males, officers found the two subjects walking around in the parking lot.
Officers stopped Justin Torres, 37 years of age, along with Frederick Swackhammer, 41 years of age. Officers found that both Torres and Swackhammer had active parole violation arrest warrants out of the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, for violent offenses. Both subjects were arrested without incident.
Torres and Swackhammer were transported to Lowndes County Jail on active arrest warrants out of Pennsylvania.
They are now facing an additional charge of fugitive from justice (felony).
