VALDOSTA – LAMP plans to celebrate the 40th anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community cookout.
Release:
LAMP, Inc. is proud to announce a special event in celebration of its 40th anniversary. The milestone will be marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 6th, 2024, at 11:30 AM, held in collaboration with the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce. This event will take place at the LAMP facility, located at 714 Charlton st Valdosta GA 31601.
In addition to the ceremony, attendees will be treated to a community cookout. The grill and grill master for the occasion are generously provided by New Covenant Church, replacing the organization’s regular soup kitchen services for the day.
Following the ribbon-cutting, LAMP will offer tours of the facility to community members and attendees interested in learning more about the organization’s mission and ongoing work.
“We are thrilled to celebrate four decades of service to the Valdosta community,” said Yurshema Flanders, Executive Director. “This event is a testament to the unwavering support from our partners and the community. We invite everyone to join us in commemorating this significant milestone.”
LAMP, Inc. has been dedicated to helping individuals step out of homelessness. The 40th-anniversary celebration is an opportunity to reflect on the past and look forward to the future.
