VALDOSTA – VPD releases statement on Baytree Place shooting incident being investigated by the Remerton Police Department.

On March 16, 2024, at approximately 7:49 pm., media outlets released an article stating that the Valdosta Police Department (VPD) was investigating a shooting incident that happened in the 1900 block of Baytree Place.

The Valdosta Police Department responded to assist responding agencies when the incident first occurred, but the incident was in the city limits of Remerton.
