MILLEDGEVILLE – Georgia Military College and Brescia University announces an articulation agreement to expand educational opportunities.
Release:
Georgia Military College (GMC) and Brescia University are proud to announce the signing of an articulation agreement establishing an educational partnership designed to expand graduate school opportunities for GMC alumni.
Through this agreement, graduates of Georgia Military College will receive preferred acceptance into three of Brescia University’s leading graduate programs: the Master of Business Administration (MBA), the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS), and the Master of Social Work (MSW). This collaboration provides a clear pathway for GMC graduates seeking to continue their education, advance their careers, and build on the strong academic foundation gained at GMC.
Brescia University has a long-standing tradition of serving those who serve our nation. In 1950, the university relocated from Maple Mount, Kentucky, to downtown Owensboro in order to respond to the educational needs of servicemen returning from World War II. This new partnership with Georgia Military College reflects that same commitment to meeting the needs of military-affiliated students, veterans, and their families, while also expanding opportunities for all GMC graduates.
“Georgia Military College is dedicated to providing our students and alumni with the tools, opportunities, and connections they need to achieve lifelong success,” said Major General (Retired) Terrence McKenrick, 22nd President of Georgia Military College. “This articulation agreement with Brescia University ensures that GMC graduates have a direct pathway to high-quality graduate programs that will position them to lead and excel in business, technology, and service-oriented professions. We are grateful to Brescia University for sharing in our mission of empowering the next generation of leaders.”
To be considered for admission, GMC graduates must meet the admissions criteria for their program of choice and complete the application process through Brescia University.
Dr. Amanda Morris, Brescia University Vice President for Academic Affairs said, “This partnership with Georgia Military College reflects Brescia University’s commitment to developing partnerships with institutions to enhance opportunities for students to complete graduate degrees.” She continued to say, “Brescia is honored to partner with Georgia Military College to invest in the future of students as both institutions share aligned values of servant leadership. We are proud to welcome their graduates into our community and support their continued growth through academic programs in business, technology, and social work. “
This articulation agreement represents a shared commitment between two mission-driven institutions to provide educational access, support lifelong learning, and develop leaders who will make a difference in their communities and beyond.
