The Lowndes County Board of Education Approved Superintendent Sandra Wilcher’s recommendation to name Jessica Stanley Principal of Lake Park Elementary School beginning in the 2024-2025 school year.

With almost fifteen years of experience as an educator, Ms. Stanley’s career began in Lowndes County Schools as a teacher at Lowndes High School. Throughout her seven-year tenure at LHS, she taught various math and science courses and eventually became a Special Education Coordinator and served as the Special Education Department Chair.

Following her time at LHS, Ms. Stanley transitioned to Richmond Hill High School, where she took her initial administrative role as Assistant Principal. Subsequently, she returned to LCS as Assistant Principal of Lake Park Elementary School, the role she has most recently served in. Ms. Stanley’s impact on students reaches further than LPES, as she is also an Adjunct Professor at Valdosta State University, guiding aspiring educators. Additionally, she is a three-time graduate of VSU herself. Her academic achievements include a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Math and Science, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction: Accomplished Teaching, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership.

Ms. Stanley looks forward to the ongoing opportunity to support and serve the staff and students of Lake Park Elementary School.

“Facilitating student success goes beyond providing knowledge; it involves sparking curiosity, nurturing a love for learning, and guiding each student toward unlocking their utmost potential,” she says.
