VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Police Department is investigating the stabbing of a 30-year-old man that occurred near Bemiss Road.

On December 22, 2023, at approximately 2:28 pm., Valdosta Police Officers, Crime Scene Technicians, Detectives and Emergency Medical Services responded to the 2400 block of Bemiss Road, after a citizen called E911 to report a subject had been stabbed.

Upon arriving on scene, officers located a thirty-year male with multiple stab wounds. Officers provided first aid on scene, the victim was then transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.

Detectives have identified a person of interest. The investigation has shown this to be an isolated incident.

This case is currently under investigation, so no further details will be released at this time.
