The Valdosta Board of Education meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. More information on location, meeting minutes and members of the Valdosta Board of Education can be found by clicking here.”
Secondly, a separate statement was released from now former coach Rodemaker:
“I was blindsided to learn that my contract would not be renewed. My love, dedication, and loyalty to the Wildcats, and especially the young men who play for us, has been harmed at no fault of theirs or mine. This decision and the way they did it hurts our players, the Valdosta Wildcats program, and our entire community. I want this community to know that I will fight for them with everything I have. I was given no notice that my contract was an issue, which is surprising considering the enormous improvement of our program since my hire. They haven’t provided a single reason as to why they took this political action at the expense of our community. They gave me no opportunity to defend myself at the board meeting. I will be conducting my own investigation, and am exploring all available ways to right this wrong.”
