According to WFXL News the arctic air directly correlates with the wind advisory released for Crisp County. Strong winds will drive frigid air into South Georgia at approximately 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12.
The warning will be in affect until 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2019.
This past summer, residents of South Georgia and North Florida braved unbelievable heat in daily commute. Now, arctic cold is set to freeze pipelines and raise heater bills. Will we ever catch a break?
Taking a look at the bigger picture, it’s clear that Georgia and Florida are not alone in this battle against the cold. According to The Weather Channel, Indianapolis dropped to single-digit temperatures. That hasn’t occurred in Indianapolis at this time of year since the 70s— the 1870s! Chicago, North Dakota, South Texas, and Mississippi all have similar tales to tell.
How do you feel about the drop in temperatures? Will your cold-natured spouse control the thermostat for the surge? Let us know in the comments below!
