VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Police Department has arrested seven individuals and are searching for three more in connection with multiple burglaries and vehicle break-ins.

The arrests stem from cases that occurred in May, June, July and August, said VPD Lt. Adam Bembry.

“The unit began investigating a string of burglaries that occurred in May from a residence in the 1500 block of Slater Street. In this case, the victim had several checkbooks stolen. Two individuals have been identified as cashing the stolen checks at local banks,” Bembry said. “Detectives obtained arrest warrants on Deionte Mincey. Another subject has been identified, and warrants have been taken on him as well, but the offender has not been located.”

In June, July and August, detectives investigated burglaries in the 1300 block of Kimberly Drive and the 2000 block of Park Lane.

“Through evidence and witness information, detectives identified Dominique Arnold as the offender. He has been arrested and charged with 2 counts of burglary,” Bembry said.

On August 12, detectives began investigating a burglary in the 1700 block of Toni Terrace.

“Detectives received information that one of the electronic devices that was stolen in the burglary was activated at a residence in the 1000 block of West Gordon Street,” Bembry said. “Detectives executed a search warrant at this residence and recovered some of the victim’s property. Charles Denson and Adam Davis were arrested in connection with those cases.”

On August 14, detectives began investigating a burglary in the 2400 block of Knox Drive.

“The victim observed some of the stolen property at a neighbor’s residence. Detectives obtained a search warrant and during the execution, located items belonging to the victim,” Bembry said. “Darrell McGee, was arrested and charged with burglary. Two other offenders have been identified and arrest warrants have also been obtained on them. They have not been arrested as of this date.”

Detectives then received information from the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office about an offender they arrested for several car break-ins and burglaries that occurred throughout the county. During the sheriff’s office’s investigation, they found property belonging to victims of burglaries and vehicle break-ins in the city.

“Detectives connected offenders to theft by entering autos in the 3800 block of Old Vine Way, the 2300 block of Melrose Drive, and the 1800 block of Eastwind Road,” Bembry said. “They also connected them to a burglary in the 100 block of Hamm Street. Ronald Welsch and Joshua Robinson were attested in those cases.”
