VALDOSTA – Two Valdosta teens and a juvenile were arrested last week for allegedly breaking into four homes, stealing two vehicles and packing a U-Haul trailer with stolen items.

On July 7, the Valdosta Police Department responded to four residential burglaries: one on Betty Jo Drive, a second on Brookfield Road, another on Wingfield Way and one on Roxbury Drive, said VPD Capt. Kari Williams.

They also responded to a motor vehicle theft on Arkwright Drive. Eyewitnesses saw one offender at one of the burglary scenes and forwarded information about the offender’s description and the offender vehicle to Valdosta Police,” Williams said.

Later the same day, a Valdosta Police K-9 Officer was patrolling the 2400 block of Seth Place and spotted a vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle seen leaving the area of one of the burglaries with three male subjects inside.

“It was confirmed that this vehicle had been reported stolen. Officers also noticed another vehicle that had been reported stolen parked nearby. Two subjects, a juvenile and Robert Dennard, were taken into custody,” Williams said. “One subject, Frederick Green, fled from the scene and ran to his house on Bancroft Road where he was later arrested.”

At the Bancroft address, officers reportedly found a U-Haul trailer packed with items that had been stolen during the burglaries. The Valdosta Police Department Burglary Unit arrived at the scene and took over the investigation.

All three offenders were arrested for theft by receiving a stolen vehicle and were transported to the Lowndes County Jail.

“The Burglary Unit spent several days going through all the property recovered, comparing the items to cases and re-interviewing victims and witnesses,” Williams said. “The investigation concluded with the presentation of multiple additional warrants for each of the offenders.”

Frederick Green, 18, was charged with three counts of Burglary, one count of Motor Vehicle Theft and one count of Theft by Receiving a stolen Motor Vehicle and Misdemeanor Obstruction of an Officer.

Robert Dennard, 18, was charged with three counts of Party to the Crime of Burglary and one count of Party to the Crime of Theft by Receiving a stolen Motor Vehicle.

A 13-year-old juvenile was charged with three counts of Party to the Crime of Burglary and one count of burglary.

Two vehicles and several pieces of property, to include guns, were returned to their rightful owners.

“The Valdosta Police Department is committed to the safety of the citizens and their property, but this has to be a team effort with the community. These cases demonstrate how important it is for the citizens to follow through with the phrase ‘see something, say something.’ When we work together, we can all play a role in keeping this community safe,” said Williams.
