VALDOSTA — A suspect has been arrested related to the body found at a vacant residence on Ricardo Street in August.

Friday morning, U.S. Marshals arrested Timothy Bernard Wiggins in Miami related to an outstanding warrant.  Valdosta Police investigating the murder of the victim, Anthony Barber, 25 of Valdosta, discovered Wiggins was staying with relatives in Miami and alerted Marshals requesting assistance.

Extradition proceedings have been initiated to return Wiggins to Lowndes County for trial.

Barber’s body was found in August in the 1700 block of Ricardo Street in Valdosta, lying in the back of the lot.
