ALBANY — A man was placed under arrest for simple assault on Monday.

Around 6:30 p.m, Bobby Smith was arguing with Lenwood Hudson in a liquor store parking lot when he pulled out a gun. The two began arguing over child visitation. Smith’s wife has children with both Smith and Hudson.

Smith placed the gun on the top of his vehicle to threaten Hudson. The two then left Bill’s Liquor Store off U.S. 19.

Dougherty County Police later went to Smith’s home on Flint Avenue. He was charged with simple assault.
